Jains move Gujarat HC for worship rights at Bharuch mosque

Jains have filed a petition regarding worship rights for an idol of Lord Mallinath at Bharuch Jami Masjid. The idol was reportedly discovered during a recent inspection of the mosque’s basement, leading to increased communal tensions. Petitioners, fearing for the idol’s safety, are urging the Gujarat High Court to ensure its protection. The Archaeological Survey of India has been informed to protect the monument amid this dispute.
