The sessions court quashed a previous discharge order, directing the JMFC to frame charges against Bhatt and two subordinates. The judge refused a stay, citing the case’s long duration.

A heated exchange over foul language at a food stall in Ahmedabad escalated violently when a local resident allegedly doused a daily wage labourer with hot oil. The victim sustained severe burns on his legs, thighs, arm, and buttocks. Police have registered a case following the incident near Shalimar Talkies.
