A Sabarkantha man defrauded his friends by posing as a woman online. He lured bachelors seeking brides with fake marriage proposals. The accused, Ankush Patel, collected over Rs 5 lakh from one victim over two years. Police investigations reveal at least 10 other friends were similarly cheated. The accused allegedly used the money to repay debts.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Ahmedabad successfully apprehended two CID Crime personnel, Police Inspector PK Patel and Armed Police Constable Vipul Desai, for allegedly accepting a Rs 30 lakh bribe. The duo demanded the money from a citizen to drop action in an ongoing case. The entire bribe amount was recovered during the trap.
