In Ahmedabad, Abhishek Tomar, wanted in criminal cases, created a tense situation. He threatened to jump from his Odhav flat to avoid arrest. Crime Branch officers arrived to apprehend him. Tomar locked himself in and climbed onto the balcony ledge. He recorded a live video threatening suicide. Police and fire department officials rescued him. He is now in custody.

The Gandhinagar Local Crime Branch busted a gang of four men involved in numerous metro cable thefts across India, solving 35 cases. The gang targeted metro routes, including those between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, stealing valuable cables. They employed tactics like reconnaissance, climbing pillars, and using rented properties to strip and sell the stolen copper wire, causing significant losses.
