Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz opened the International Kite Festival 2025 in Ahmedabad. Over 300 kitists displayed their skills. A replica of an Ahmedabad Pol was a highlight. Leaders enjoyed kite flying and witnessed cultural performances. The festival continues for the public with night Uttarayan on January 13.
