11 Ahmedabad CAs found guilty in bogus political donations case; ICAI lets them off with reprimand

Eleven Ahmedabad Chartered Accountants faced disciplinary action from ICAI for professional misconduct in a bogus political donation racket. The IT department flagged tax evasion involving political parties and charitable institutions. While found guilty of ‘Other Misconduct’, the CAs received a reprimand after admitting their role and assuring future compliance.
