Authorities have handed over the remains of 83 passengers from flight AI 171 to their families after DNA matching, as confirmed by Health Minister Rishikesh Patel. Out of 125 DNA samples matched, 124 families have been notified, with the process continuing late into the night.

In Ahmedabad, DNA matching confirms 87 individuals from the plane crash, with 47 bodies dispatched to various districts following the tragic incident on June 12. The London-bound flight crashed into a hostel complex, resulting in 241 casualties, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Only one person survived the disaster, which also claimed the lives of local residents and students.
