Ahmedabad sees rise in gastroenteritis and cholera cases over past 25 days
Ahmedabad faces a surge in waterborne diseases during the summer, particularly in the eastern part of the city, due to contaminated drinking water. From May 1 to May 25, 2025, there were significant cases of gastroenteritis, jaundice, typhoid, and cholera reported. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is actively collecting and testing water samples to address the contamination issues.
