The Gujarat Department of Science and Technology has issued an advisory to government employees, urging them to refrain from sharing political views, unverified news, or any content that could compromise the government’s neutrality or image. The advisory emphasizes caution in forwarding information, particularly regarding security forces and government operations, and stresses the importance of maintaining professionalism online.

Amid rising India-Pakistan tensions, the Gujarat government cancelled employee leaves and Chief Minister Patel assessed border district readiness. Blackouts were declared in Kutch, parts of Patan, and Banaskantha. The CM reviewed emergency preparations, ensured essential supplies, and the health minister put hospitals on alert in border districts.

Airfares from Ahmedabad to the US have significantly dropped, offering a boon for travelers with valid visas. Reduced travel demand, particularly among students, and visa challenges for tourists have contributed to this decline. Round trip tickets, once reaching ₹2.2 lakh, are now approximately ₹85,000.

Following Operation Sindoor, five Gujarat airports were temporarily closed, prompting heightened security measures at all Indian airports, including Ahmedabad’s SVPI. Passengers are advised to arrive three hours early due to additional security checks. Consequently, SVPIA in Ahmedabad experienced 16 flight cancellations, affecting routes to Chandigarh, Srinagar, and other destinations, causing disruptions for travelers.
