The Gujarat High Court has addressed a petition concerning postgraduate medical admissions. A NEET-PG aspirant questioned the conversion of NRI quota seats. These seats were converted to management quota seats after the first counselling round. The petitioner claims this violates counselling rules. The court has requested a response from the state government and the admission committee by September 18.

The Gujarat High Court dismissed Yusuf Pathan’s petition, affirming his encroachment on a 978 square metre plot owned by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC). Despite a rejected 2014 proposal to sell him the land, Pathan retained possession.

In Ahmedabad, Naisal Thakor was brutally murdered in a revenge attack near Paldi police station. CCTV footage captured the gruesome scene where he was hacked, run over, and stabbed repeatedly by seven to eight men. Police suspect Ajay Thakor, whose brother Naisal allegedly killed, orchestrated the crime.
